Walk for Life 2014 --Join St. Joseph's Parish in Modesto on Good Friday for their annual Walk-for-Life.

April & May Calendar--The school year may be wrapping up, but it doesn't mean that things have slowed down at all!

Golf Tournament Sponsorship Form--Our golf committee is already planning the 23rd annual tournament! You can download the form now and start collecting sponsorships!

St. Bernard's Preschool

Plans for the new St. Bernard's Preschool are well underway! The property is adjacent to St. Bernard's Catholic School and we hope to have the preschool up and running by Fall 2014. Below you will see our vision for the building.





St. Bernard's Annual Science & Engineering Fair

The annual St. Bernard's Science and Engineering Fair kickoff will take place the week of Monday, January 6, 2014. As always, grades 1-3 will complete a project as a class. Grades 4-8 will have some minor changes to their project possibilities and will be explained more on Mrs. Perrino's Science page.

St. Bernard's Catholic School is one of over 30,000 private schools  in America.  the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), a coalition of national organizations and state affiliates service private elementary and secondary schools, put together the following videos that describe the benefits of private education for our children, our families, and our nation.









WCEA Accreditation


St. Bernard's Catholic School is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).  WCEA accredits Catholic elementary and secondary schools in nine western states (26 (arch) dioceses) and the US Territory of Guam.  WCEA co-accredits and is in partnership with three Regional agencies (WASC, NAAS, NCA CASI) and two private agencies (CAIS and HAIS).   WCEA began in 1957 in San Francisco and has a long and successful history of assisting school improvement through the accreditation process.

School Principal

St. Bernard's is seeking a principal beginning with the 2014-2015 school year. We are seeking applicants who are committed to Catholic education and who demonstrate dynamic educational and spiritual leadership and the ability to work closely with students, faculty, parents and the parish. Applicants should have a valid California administrative credential and successful experience working in Catholic education.

After reading a detailed job description, interested candidates should submit the following materials by February 28, 2014, to the Pastor at the address listed below.

  • Cover letter explaining interest in the position and qualifications to be principal of St. Bernard's School.
  • Brief personal statement that includes the applicants' thoughts on leading a Catholic School.
  • Current Resume, copy of credential(s), copy of degree(s).
