Supplies

St. Bernard's students are responsible for providing classroom supplies for personal use in addition to some supplies that will be shared with the class. Click on the grade to the right to view the class supply list for that grade. Students should have all supplies assembled and labeled as indicated on the first day of school.

In addition to classroom supplies, each St. Bernard's student brings in a bag of emergency supplies to store in the classroom. Teachers collect the emergency supplies at the beginning of each school year and send the remaining contents home at the end of each year. The Emergency Supply List is the same for each grade.

Academics

Summer is a time for fun and relaxation. However, students often lose much of what they learned during the previous school year over summer break. To prevent as much learning loss as possible, and to help prepare students for the upcoming school year, St. Bernard's students are expected to complete certain assignments before the 2011-2012 school year begins.

All students going into grades 1-8 will are required to complete the Summer Math curriculum for their grade level before school begins in August. Most teachers also provide a summer reading list and/or assignment to help students maintain the reading skills they worked on during the previous school year.
